June 5, 2018 Board Meeting Agenda Item #29 Title APPROVAL OF THE ADULT EDUCATION AND FAMILY LITERACY GRANT PROPOSAL TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Description CONTINUATION: Grant funds of $332,308 will assist adults in developing literacy skills, completing high school or the equivalent, preparing for post-secondary education and employment, and gaining knowledge to assist in their children's educational development. Target population is adults aged 16 and over who are deficient in reading, math or language skills, lack a high school diploma and/or are limited in English language proficiency.
